1721 was a significant year for Bach. In March, he dedicated a set of concertos to the Margrave of Brandenburg and in December he married his second wife, Anna Magdalena - who, in between managing the family household and copying manuscripts for her husband, was known as a highly competent soprano. The programme includes music which Anna Magdalena sang as well as one of the famous Brandenburg concertos.

To help celebrate these events, the Corellis joined once again by Evelyn Tubb, whose previous performances in Cheltenham have been noted for their artistry and sensitivity to both audience and music.
