Just three
days before his 250th birthday, we celebrate Mozart in an
unusual programme of music from Salzburg. Mozart's 'Lodron'
concerto, performed here in the authentic version for two solo
instruments, is framed by a symphony from the pen of the
Salzburg court violinist Joseph Hafeneder and a Sinfonia -
featuring solo violas and cellos - by Mozart's father. We end
this look at Mozart and his world with the delightful, but
rarely performed Serenade.
