Pittville Pump Room
2004-05 Season

Rameau
Geminiani
Heinichen

Handel
Rameau's brilliantly extrovert music from the opera-ballet Les Indes Galantes provides a perfect foil for Geminiani's more reflective style.  Heinichen, the Dresden court composer known as the 'German Rameau', is represented by his refreshingly original Pastorale.  We conclude the 05/06 Pittville season with Handel at his most ostentatious and colourful.
