Though best known for his concertos,
Vivaldi was also a seasoned composer for the stage: ‘Topping’
is how one English visitor to Venice in the 1720s described his
performance in the opera house! We are delighted to welcome
back the vivacious Lousie Tucker, as we explore Vivaldi’s
spirited music and that of his contemporaries.
