When Mozart visited Paris in 1778, he encountered a rich and diverse musical culture. Whilet there he wrote the Concerto for Flute and Harp which has become a firm favourite, although rarely performed on period instruments. Mozart is set in relief with music popular in Paris at the time, including a symphony by the distinguished West Indina-born Chevalier de St Georges.
