During his long career, Handel often had tempestuous relationships with many of his singers. Not so with the young English tenor John Beard, who created many roles in the operas and oratorios, and for whom Handel wrote some of his enduringly beautiful melodies. Why not join us as we conclude the season by taking a look at Handel’s best bits?

A former choral scholar at King’s College, Cambridge, John Bowen has recorded with many of the leading continental period-instrument ensembles, and has appeared at several major European opera houses including the Berlin Staatsoper and La Monnaie in Brussels.
